First Family | South East Texas Family Children Photographer

In the non-presidential sense This was my first family to photograph! And a wonderful one to start with. The mom is a great friend of mine who also happens to be a photographer. Turns out her husband and I were both attending Texas A&M at the same time too…small world eh? And that little boy with all the style, not his normal hair-do. Instead of taking a nap that day he decided he would surprise his parents by washing his hair……with vaseline! This was after 30 minutes of shampoo and Dawn. Poor kid just wanted to look his best! Its ok though…..as you can see he totally rocked it

Here is more from the session with my daughter last week. We only had about 10 minutes to ourselves outside before the heat and mosquitoes became unbearable! This girl…so beautiful and so soulful, way beyond her years. These images make me want to weep because they are so very “her”. These were processed with Paint the Moon’s Sweet Treats Action Set. Annie’s stuff is awesome

Cows & Tractors & Hay Oh My | South East TX Photographer

My husbands family has a dairy in Central Texas. We visit fairly often. Our kids could live there…really, I think if we dropped them off they would take a week to notice. They are constantly outside, all hot sweaty and dirty and loving every minute.

On this day the task at hand was raking and baling hay.

Sometimes equipment acts up…..

And the only way to figure out what’s wrong is to go for a ride.

These ladies just refused to sign my model release! They just kept chewing and staring at me like i was speaking Russian or something. Hope they don’t mind I posted their picture anyway

Time to make the donuts!…..or milk the cows..whatever.

Sometimes a beligerant calf gets loose and teases the others who weren’t smart enough to escape. Apparently this one succeeds nearly every day….time for a new fence?

And sometimes a storm rolls in and takes your breath away.

And after a long days work you sit back and look at all you did.

I obtained some new tricks in my bag recently and I have been having soooo much fun! My daughter appeasing her mother, my son looking at the Northern Tool catalog (he’s also a fan of Stihl and Classic Car mags…seriously), and my friends baby girl who has the most beautiful eyes ever!
